THE MADNESS OF LADY BRIGHT
by Lanford Wilson
On a hot summer afternoon in New York, Leslie tries to reach out to his acquaintances. Yet no one picks up. As he dials, he reminisces about past lovers and tormenting thoughts cause him to relive moments in his life as a gay man.
Written before the gay rights movement took off in New York during the Stonewall Riots of 1969, the play raises awareness for the significance of being accepted.
